COVINGTON – Longtime Northshore business leader and community advocate T. Paul Davis has been appointed to serve on the St. Tammany Health System Board of Commissioners, adding decades of executive leadership and nonprofit experience to the health system's volunteer governing body.

He replaces outgoing member and Board Vice Chairman Thomas D. Davis, his father, who has served on the body since May 2006.
“Paul has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to strengthening our community through thoughtful leadership and service,” Board Chairman John A. Evans said in announcing the appointment. “His business acumen, collaborative approach and longstanding dedication to improving the quality of life on the Northshore make him an outstanding addition to our Board of Commissioners. We welcome him to the team and thank him for his willingness to serve.”
A graduate of Saint Paul's School and Southeastern Louisiana University, Davis earned a bachelor's degree in business management before joining Parish Concrete in 1995. He became vice president of the Mandeville-based company in 2003 and has served as president since 2018.
“We welcome Paul’s enthusiasm, business acumen and dedication to making St. Tammany a better place to live,” said St. Tammany Health System President and CEO Joan Coffman. “He has a deep-rooted commitment to our community, demonstrated through the meaningful relationships he has cultivated across the private, governmental and nonprofit sectors. We are confident he will bring a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective shaped by both his leadership experience and his understanding of who we are as an organization and the vital role we play in advancing the health and well-being of our region.”
In addition to the health system Board of Commissioners, Davis serves numerous nonprofit and civic boards. He is the current Chairman of the St. Tammany Health Foundation’s Board of Trustees, and he has served on the governing boards of the Louisiana Concrete Association and P&W Industries LLC. He is a past member of the boards of the Northshore Food Bank and the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee, in addition to service to the Special Olympics and the Saint Paul's School alumni association.
“I have long admired the incredible work being done by St. Tammany Health System to improve the health of our community,” Davis said. “It is an honor to join the Board of Commissioners, and I look forward to working alongside my fellow commissioners and health system leadership team to help ensure STHS continues providing exceptional care for generations of Northshore families to come.”
The eight-member St. Tammany Health System Board of Commissioners provides strategic oversight and governance for the organization – technically, St. Tammany Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 – helping advance its mission of delivering world-class healthcare close to home. Commissioners, who serve six-year terms, are community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise in support of the organization's long-term success.
