We also realize that sometimes our patients want to offer a special thanks to a nurse, doctor or other St. Tammany Health System colleague who went above and beyond what was necessary to make sure they or their loved one felt comfortable, cared for and listened to.
Knowing how hard our team works, we encourage such expressions of gratitude for our staff, whether through our established Caring Hearts and DAISY Award gratitude program, by allowing us to share your story with others or with a gift to our nonprofit St. Tammany Hospital Foundation.

STHS patients and visitors can express their gratitude in a number of ways.
The DAISY Award program is an international recognition program celebrating the skillful, compassionate care provided by nurses. Anyone can nominate a nurse by filling out an online nomination form. You can also download and print a paper nomination form found by clicking the button below, filling it out and mailing it to STHS Education Department, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA.
Healthcare doesn’t happen in a vacuum, which is why St. Tammany Health System introduced its Sunflower Award program to give patients, visitors, STHS colleagues and others a way to recognize non-nursing support staff and caregivers for outstanding contributions to our healing mission. Want to nominate someone? Simply fill out and submit an electronic form, and we'll take care of the rest!
St. Tammany Health System’s Caring Hearts program is a way for patients, visitors and even STHS colleagues to thank anyone in the health system, regardless of job position. Simply download and print a nomination form by clicking the button below and returning the completed form to the front desk at our Covington hospital or by mailing to STHS Patient Relations, 1202 S.
