The early-morning airwaves got a breath of fresh advocacy Tuesday as STHS Lung Screening Coordinator Megan Broussard visited WVUE-Fox 8’s “Morning Edition” to talk lung screenings and to rev up the community for this weekend’s Power of Pearl walk.
The third annual Power of Pearl lung cancer walk and kid’s fun run is set for this Saturday (Nov. 22), and to help spread the word, Megan paid a visit to the WVUE-Fox-8 studios Tuesday morning to speak with “Morning Edition” host Rob Krieger.

The 2025 Power of Pearl walk is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Covington Trailhead (419 N. New Hampshire St.). In addition to the walk, the day will include food trucks, a resource village, activities for kids, and live music by Tyler Kinchen and the Right Pieces.
The walk is free, and you can register now to participate at this link.
