This month, that includes a very special event on July 27 at which local autism advocate Sunny McDaniel and co-author Dana Garrett will read from and discuss their new children’s book, “Alana & Wyatt’s Adventures: The Sully Backpack Surprise,” which – like the STHS “sensory bags” that inspired it – is designed to help children understand what to expect during a visit to the doctor’s office.
