The Director will oversee the general operations of the Pathology Laboratory Department. He or she will be responsible for the management, organization, growth, and supervision of clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory services. The Director of Laboratory is additionally responsible for assuring the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of lab services provided while also maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory agencies (such as Joint Commission, AABB, and CLSI).
