Meet Heidi, a breast cancer survivor who made a courageous decision that saved her life. After a routine mammogram revealed concerning findings in her left breast, Heidi consulted with Doctors Buonagura and Tandon and opted for a double mastectomy. This decision proved critical, as cancer was also found in her right breast. Heidi's story highlights the importance of regular screenings in detecting and preventing life-altering situations like hers.
Let's come together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer care. Our 2025 campaign, presented by Timeless Touch Medical Aesthetics and Power of Prevention Sponsor- Ambetter Health, focuses on the importance of early detection and offers various ways to get involved. You can attend community-wide screening events on the Be Well Bus, sign the pink-wrapped St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office vehicle, participate in community business Give Back events, grab an official campaign t-shirt for 2026 and much more.
