Partners in Care: Signs of progress

September 7, 2021

Dear Partner in Care,

We are making progress together — 55% of STHS colleagues are now vaccinated and nearly 100% of physicians!

Each day, more people get the vaccine. Our medical staff, colleagues and neighbors understand that the vaccines are the safest, most effective measure we have in the fight against COVID-19. If you or anyone on your staff or your patients needs access to a vaccine, schedule through (985)898-4001.

If your staff or patients need accurate trustworthy information about COVID and the vaccines, please visit StTammany.heath/covid19 and check out a new section of the page called Just the Facts, where we address 10 common myths, issues and concerns in easy-to-read, print and share fliers.

Topics include risks of being unvaccinated, the truth about breakthrough cases, why this new delta variant is such a huge concern, lingering side effects of “long COVID,” basics about wearing a mask, keeping your kids safe, vaccinations for young adults, effects of the vaccines and vaccine topics related to fertility and childbirth.

Each of us has a responsibility to ourselves, our patients and our community. Thank you for being part of the solution.

Gratefully,

Joan M. Coffman, FACHE
St. Tammany Health System president and CEO
