STHS Med Staff awards 2026 fall scholarships

Congratulations to St. Tammany Health System LPN Kaitlyn Mentel (Emergency Care Services) and Nurse Manager Maria Turner (Pediatrics), who have been named recipients of the Med Staff’s scholarships for fall 2026.
As part of the awards, announced Tuesday during a brief ceremony in the St. Tammany Parish Hospital lobby, Kaitlyn and Maria will each receive $2,000 to go toward education expenses as they continue to broaden their medical knowledge.
The twice-annual Med Staff scholarships are among a number of scholarship opportunities offered to STHS colleagues. Others include a guild scholarship program and the Board of Commissioners’ Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship.
