With the craziness of Carnival behind us, and with local blood inventories critically short on Type O+ blood, St. Tammany Health System’s flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital will host a blood drive on Ash Wednesday (March 5, 2025).
The drive will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be conducted in the Covington/Mandeville Rooms in the hospital’s first-floor Conference Center.
As always, walk-ins are welcome, although appointments are preferred and can be made at the Blood Center website.
All successful donors will receive a Blood Center-branded T-shirt.
All donors are reminded to have a full meal before donating and to bring their picture ID.
Questions? Visit the Blood Center website for donor eligibility guidelines as well as FAQs.
