Easter came a little early to St. Tammany Cancer Center – A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center on Wednesday, as Ruby’s Kids hosted its annual Easter celebration for patients and their families, transforming an ordinary evening into something a bit more joyful.
From egg hunts and hands-on crafts to games, sweet treats and visits with the Easter Bunny, the event offered plenty of smiles – along with thoughtfully prepared Easter baskets for every child in attendance.
The celebration is made possible each year by volunteers with the nonprofit Ruby’s Kids, with support from Heritage Bank, Rouse’s Market on Louisiana 21, St. Tammany Health Foundation and dedicated cancer center colleagues who help bring the evening to life.
This year’s gathering welcomed dozens of families, giving children and their loved ones a chance to step away, if only for a moment, and simply enjoy the season together.
