St. Tammany Health Foundation paid tribute to the grit and determination of local cancer patients Wednesday (May 28) with its latest quarterly Celebrating You event, a day of fellowship and gratitude at St. Tammany Cancer Center – A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center in Covington.
The day was highlighted by a butterfly release led by representatives of St. Tammany Health System’s Spiritual Care team. In addition, there were healthy snacks provided by the cancer center’s dietitians, a chair yoga class hosted by its Support Services team, and booths staffed by a variety of patient-focused groups, including All American Medical, MarshMcLennan Agency and Bionic Babes.
The quarterly Celebrating You series was introduced in March 2025 by St. Tammany Health Foundation to inspire and empower cancer patients, their caregivers and the cancer center’s care providers. Thanks to the generosity of donors to the foundation, these offerings are fully funded and available to patients at no cost.
