Dr. Robert Baker is a board-certified cardiologist with more than two decades of experience in private practice. He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern (Parkland Memorial Hospital) in Dallas. He then completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Baker practices general cardiology with a particular focus on the long-term management and monitoring of atrial fibrillation. He is the inventor of the Afib Alert Monitor, a groundbreaking handheld device introduced in 2003 that pre-dates many of todays wearable arrhythmia technologies.

After spending over 20 years serving patients in Las Vegas, Dr. Baker has returned to his Southern roots to raise his two young sons and continue providing high-quality cardiac care. Outside of medicine, he is an accomplished songwriter and guitarist and enjoys photography, filmmaking, and playing tennis.
